A tropical private retreat offering quick access to the Sayulita plaza and Pacific ocean, this 3 story house is set on a beautifully landscaped hillside in a residential neighborhood. The walk from the plaza up to the house takes about 10 minutes and includes a 2-minute somewhat steep incline.

As you enter the gate, you are greeted by lush tropical landscaping and graceful arches. You find two buildings separated by a courtyard and a small set of stairs. There is a bedroom and bath in each building, which makes the house ideal for rental income.

The spacious master bedroom and en-suite bath are in the lower building. The bed is California king size – NEW. Wide floor-to-ceiling doors open up to a handsome balcony overlooking a valley of palm and coconut trees. Mexican tiles and local art are featured in this bedroom/bath and throughout the entire house.

The second bedroom (also with a NEW California king-size bed) is in the other building. Also in this building are a full bath, a living room and a fully equipped kitchen. Large fold-out doors open the kitchen and living room to the beautiful gardens.

Dining is alfresco on the cobblestone patio.

Multiple patios provide private areas for resting, reading and conversing. Outdoor lighting transforms the patios into a special place for evening entertaining.

Above the house is a beautiful one-bedroom penthouse.

The penthouse was recently designed and built by Miguel Valverde, a talented Mexican architect. It provides a unique space for people who appreciate beauty and outdoor tropical living.

The outdoor living area includes both uncovered and shaded spaces. A grass lawn, tropical flowers and palm trees define the outdoor areas, as do granite tiles and unique stonework. Terracotta tile roofs shade the kitchen, the dining area and a sitting area outside the bedroom.

The outdoor kitchen was designed for simplicty and ease. The outdoor dining area features an equipale table and six chairs made by local craftsmen.

Inside, you will find a large bedroom, a large bath and closets. The bedroom offers a beautiful view of the ocean. It has a kingsize bed, a ceiling fan, an air conditioner, a small desk, and a safe for secure storage. The bathroom features a very large bathtub decorated with Mexican tiles and a shower that overlooks a jungle hillside.

Above the bedroom is another level featuring a palapa (thatched roof) and a breath-taking view of the ocean and valley. It is the perfect spot for morning coffee, an afternoon siesta in the hammock, or evening drinks with friends.
