Possible development for Marina Vallarta?
By DevSupport on July 15, 2011
The
Director of Tourism for Puerto Vallarta, in an effort to
generate new employment opportunities in the area, has been working closely
with the Federal Government to implement a long term project for the expansion
of the Marina Malecon to reach the
current cruise ship terminal. Such a connection would be a really welcome boost
to tourism in the Marina Vallarta
area and would help to increase easy movement of passengers off the cruise
ships directly to the commercial heart of the Marina. Imagine the number of thirsty and hungry shoppers who could
make the most of all the services! In recent months the Marina has seen a new
lease of life thanks to the arrival of real
estate opportunities in the Nima Bay
complex and its commercial units below. Some superb eateries have arrived,
including the main attraction, Starbucks
(which is said to be the most successful and highest grossing outlet of the
coffee chain in the whole of Mexico since its opening). Marina Vallarta residents now have an Indian restaurant, a revamped
old favorite Benitto’s and a European
gourmet outlet selling wonderful imported wines, cheeses and yummy supplies.
