Promoting a green Puerto Vallarta
By DevSupport on June 15, 2012
The Puerto Vallarta Garden Club teams up with the Botanical
Gardens and local businesses to promote a greener environment and a uniform
look to Vallarta’s trees.
Businesses along Olas Altas in old town Vallarta
were contacted by the PV Garden Club last week to sponsor planter boxes along
the sidewalks.
The idea is similar to the one already in place on “restaurant
row†Basilio Badillo, to create a uniform look to our main roads and to ensure
that flowers and plants have a place in Vallarta’s downtown.
Importantly the PV
Garden Club will be monitoring the growth and the maintenance of these
plants.
The Primavera trees have been
specially selected as they have thin roots so as not to damage any concrete
sidewalks or building structures near them. Next to these trees beautiful
bougainvillea has been planted, adding a touch of color to our streets.
Well done PV Garden Club, keep up the good
work!
