Discovering Mismaloya
By DevSupport on November 29, 2013
If you are looking for a serene tropical paradise just 15
minutes from all the amenities of downtown Puerto Vallarta, the beautiful area
of Mismaloya on the south side of Banderas Bay may be the location for your Mexican dream home.
The name “Mismaloya†comes from the indigenous Nahuatl
language and means “place where they grab fish with their hands” and
the small village is surrounded by some of the most desirable luxury condos, homes
and villas in the Puerto Vallarta area.
Here homes are built into the lush jungle mountainside to take full
advantage of sweeping Banderas Bay views including the famous Los Arcos Marine
Park.
Mismaloya has been seen many times of the silver screen as
the location for films Night of the Iguana and Predator. You can still see the famous Night of the
Iguana sign in Mismaloya and the ruins of the set remain today. You will also see traces of the Predator set
in the Puerto Vallarta Zoo in Mismaloya.
Mismaloya offers beach restaurants, Jet Ski rentals,
parasailing, snorkeling and diving at Los Arcos Marine Park, water taxi rentals
to other beaches only accessible by boat like Yelapa and Las Animas, fishing
and even a canopy tour and ATV rentals for those who like to stay active. Or just enjoy a stunning Puerto Vallarta
sunset over Banderas Bay from your terrace.
The choice is yours in beautiful Mismaloya.
