Feb 19th is World Whale Day

Feb 19th is World Whale Day. It is celebrated across the globe to help promote the wellbeing and conservation of the world’s poplulation of whales.
Here in Vallarta we are lucky enough to be graced by the presence of these magestic creatures as they come in search of warm waters to calve. Between Nov and March humpback whales of all shapes and sizes are the breed most sighted and can be seen breaching and swimming with their young all across the bay.

Every year, crowds flock to the island to join in the free all-day event, organised by the Pacific Whale Foundation. The fun starts with a parade including floats, costumed characters and children’s events, plus music from Hawaiian and international stars.
